It is a sad fact that humans are likely to cause the extinction of a quarter of all known species in the next 20 years, unless we work together to protect them now.
Gorilla Adoption : For only £3.00 per month you are able to help towards the fight to protect the mountain gorilla from extinction by supporting the WWF. In return, the WWF will send you a gorilla adoption pack that contains a cute fluffy gorilla toy along with booklets, factsheets and regular newsletters.

About mountain gorillas: Mountain gorillas are extraordinary animals that share 98% of their DNA with human beings. They live in very close knit family groups in the mountainous regions of Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo and are usually led by a dominant silverback. They have been known to live up to 4,000 metres above sea level, but their numbers are dwindling to the extent that there are known to be only 780 mountain gorillas remaining alive in the wild today. Habitat destruction, illegal poaching, accidental trapping and the contraction of diseases brought to their habitat from humans are all serious threats to gorilla welfare and by contributing to the WWF you are helping to safeguard their future.
Choosing to adopt a gorilla will make a wonderful ethical gift so why not treat a friend or family member to one of the fantastic gorilla adoption packs and be safe in the knowledge that you have contributed towards helping the gorilla species to survive in the wild.
